Ident creation for Kickers ‘Well Stitched’ campaign created by the ad agency, Mother London

Challenge

Design a flexible character ident with a naughty devilish streak to complement Mother’s ATL ‘Well Stitched’ campaign which featured practical jokes (Think MTV’s Jackass TV series)..

 

Audience

12 – 25-year-old males.

 

Solution

Big staring eyes and simple sharp shapes gave the character its devilish look. Each press ad featured a different practical joke and so the devil’s characteristics were changed to suit the relevant theme. Jokes ranged from cut out style toilet signage where you could replace ‘Ladies’ signs with ‘Mens’, to spoof food packaging to wrap around dog food cans. The character appeared on press ads, ad shells and 3 cinema ads.
