South Asian Arts Festival
Challenge
Promote the festival as a vibrant community event which involves both traditional and modern Asian Cultures.
Audience
All ages and cultural backgrounds.
Solution
A range of individual posters with modern graphic illustrations printed directly onto authentic Asian fabrics. This gave the marketing communication a tactile and innovative feel. The headline font was bespoke designed and was based on hand-painted Punjabi script. The posters were inkjet printed onto fabric with each one becoming one-off limited editions. Some were hung as bunting at the festival.
This project was featured in Creative Review's – 'What's new in Design'.
